Refund Policy
Refund Policies for Courses, Programs and Certification Exams
The Online Certification Center, aims to clarify our policies to make our processes and transactions with our community as transparent as possible. Note the policy for certification exams (see below) is different than courses and programs.
1. Refund Policy for Courses and Programs
Notification Period:
Participants must inform us of their request cancel their specific course and/or program at least two weeks prior (14 days) to the start date. Start dates are confirmed to students on the website (see Programs), and in the welcome email send at the time of registration.
This gives our organization time to cancel the license fee we pay to the third party, CCI Learning, who provides us access to learning platforms XED and GMetrix.

Students that join a course/program after the two-week deadline, or during the late registration date, are not eligible for a refund since their licenses are purchased within a day or two of registration.
Refund Eligibility:
-
If the cancellation request is received two weeks or more before the start date, participants are eligible for a full refund.
-
If the cancellation request is received less than two weeks before the start date, participants will not be eligible for a refund.
How to Request a Refund (if you meet above eligibility):
-
Eligible participants must submit their cancellation request in writing via email. See our ‘About Us’ page for our email form.
-
The request should include the participant's name, date of birth, course/program name, and the reason for cancellation.
2. Refund Policy for Certification Exams
The Online Certification Center is committed to finding an exam time and date that works for you.
We do so by providing three potential dates on our exam form. If those dates are not available, we will contact you with more options.
Once the exam time and date are confirmed, OCC promptly pays our third-party partner, Certiport, to secure your exam slot.
Please note that exam rescheduling or refunds cannot be provided once the transaction between OCC and Certiport has been completed. This policy also applies to examinees who:
-
cannot attend the exam (for any reason)
-
has technical issues (poor Wi-Fi, hardware, software related) during the exam
-
more than 10 minutes late for the exam
Note, the OCC will email an exam reminder email 1-3 days before the exam is scheduled. This communication will remind students the technology requirements needed and Certiport profile before joining the exam.

3. Tuition Payment Adjustments
From time to time, we encourage early registration with a 10% promo code to be used at the checkout. Promotions are date specific. If the purchaser neglects to enter the promo code (even during an active timeframe), the OCC is unable to provide the discount after the checkout process is complete.
