Microsoft Fundamentals for IT
Program Outline

The Microsoft Fundamentals program is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of key Microsoft technologies: Microsoft Azure, Security, Compliance and Identity, and Azure AI Fundamentals. This program is ideal for those looking to build a strong foundation in cloud computing, security, compliance, and artificial intelligence.

Upon successful completion of all 3 courses, participants will receive a program certificate from the Online Certification Center.  Participants are encouraged to enroll in industry-recognized certification tests to increase career opportunities.

1. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

This course is designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of Microsoft Azure, a leading cloud computing platform. Throughout this course, you will gain a solid understanding of Azure's core services, principles, and best practices, enabling you to leverage the power of cloud computing for your projects and business needs.

  • Cloud Concepts

  • Azure Architecture and Services

  • Azure Management and Governance

2. Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals

This course is designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of security, compliance, and identity management in the context of modern IT environments. Throughout this course, you will gain a solid understanding of key concepts, best practices, and tools that help protect data, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage identities effectively.

  • Security, Compliance, and Identity Concepts

  • Capabilities of MS Azure Active Directory, part of Microsoft Entra

  • Capabilities of MS Security Solutions

  • Capabilities of MS Compliance Solutions

3. Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals

This course is designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) and how to leverage Microsoft Azure's AI services. Throughout this course, you will gain a solid understanding of AI concepts, tools, and best practices, enabling you to build intelligent solutions using Azure.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a coursecertificate from the Online Certification Center.  Participants are encouraged to enrol in industry-recognized certification tests to increase career opportunities.

 

Main Topics Include:

  • Artificial Intelligence Workloads and Considerations

  • Fundamental Principles of Machine Learning on Azure

  • Features of Natural Language Processing (NLP) Workloads on Azure

  • Features of Computer Vision Workloads on Azure

All IT courses offer an interactive learning experience with live coding. Learners are provided opportunities for hands-on application of new concepts and real-world scenarios. Learners are guided using ‘Show-Solution’ video clips along with other resources.

​

The optional certification exam provides an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts related to Microsoft Azure services.  Those who participate should be familiar with AI – 900’s self-paced or instructor led learning material.  Awareness of cloud basics and client-server applications would be beneficial.
